Génesis presents its 2026–2030 Strategic Plan

Six commitments by 2030: legalising the club, competing nationally, sustainable finances, new sports, social impact and the Génesis brand.

Génesis Sport Clube, S.A.D. was founded in 2026 in Luanda with the ambition of being a modern, well-run and socially committed club. The Club Programme for 2026–2030 sets out the identity of Génesis, the social reasons behind it and the sporting and financial strategy for its first four years.

The strategy rests on prudence and sustained growth: in the 2026/27 season the club focuses exclusively on basketball, and only from 2028 does it gradually activate the other sports.

Six goals by 2030

  • Fully establish and register the club — every registration, affiliation and certificate in place by November 2026.
  • Compete in the National Basketball Championship — taking part in the 2026/27 season at zero financial cost to the club.
  • Build a sustainable financial structure — at least one main sponsor and three official sponsors by the end of the 2026/27 season, with zero debt.
  • Gradually activate new sports — two in 2028, four in 2029, six or more in 2030.
  • Create measurable social impact — 500 young people reached in 2028 and 1,500 in 2030, with every youth athlete receiving school support.
  • Consolidate the Génesis brand — an active digital presence, institutional partnerships and media recognition.

“No sport is activated unless at least 80% of its budget is covered by contracted revenue.”

Two pillars, one club

To strengthen the Programme, the Board studied two mid-sized Spanish clubs in the Liga Endesa known for the quality of their management and their social roots: Club Joventut de Badalona and Bàsquet Manresa. Both keep youth development and social work apart from the professional team, through their own foundations.

Inspired by these examples, Génesis adopts a two-pillar model:

  • Competitive pillar (S.A.D.) — runs the teams, sporting contracts, commercial sponsorship and image rights.
  • Social pillar (Génesis Social Programme) — runs the sports schools, scholarships, neighbourhood programmes and school support, and becomes the Génesis Foundation from 2028.

Growing step by step

The roadmap has five phases: basketball in the National Championship in 2026/27; preparing and launching the Génesis Social Programme in 2027/28; tennis and padel in 2028; youth football and swimming in 2029; and golf, new sports and the Génesis Foundation from 2030.
